Ecstatic Kirtan

ISKCON kirtan is a congregational, call-and-response form of devotional chanting of the holy names of Lord Krishna, central to the ISKCON movement. It is considered both a form of spiritual meditation and a way to share the Hare Krishna consciousness with the public, often accompanied by traditional Indian instruments like the harmonium, mridanga, and kartals. The practice is rooted in the ancient Vedic tradition and is believed to have the power to purify the heart, bring peace, and connect with the divine.
